To enable you to explore the area around Lenggries on foot in winter, around 42 km of winter hiking paths are cleared in the valley. Some of the classic winter hikes are the trails around the castle Hohenburg and the Lasseln loop. This route takes you across open fields and through snow-covered woods along the river Isar. Another highlight is the short high trail on the Brauneck. It has the best views!

During the winter season, guests have the possibility to join in our guided winter hikes. Those who prefer a more romantic experience are welcome to join our evening lantern walks.

A once in a lifetime experience!/Uniquely beautiful! Walking through the snow-covered landscape on snowshoes is a very special experience. This winter season we are once again offering snowshoe beginner tours in the Schwarzenbach valley.

Bookings for guided snowshoe tours can be made at the Lenggries Tourist Information Centre (+49 8042 - 5008 800). It is also possible to hire equipment (snowshoes and poles) – please declare this in advance.
